Classics on Las Olas – October 15, 2008; 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m- th from 6-9p.m. Featuring up to 100 vintage automobiles on display between Southeast 6th Ave. and Southeast 9th Ave. on Las Olas Boulevard, Classics on Las Olas will draw from different eras, makes and models, from Model A Fords to 1960’s muscle cars, to award three automobile owners with the “People’s Choice Award.” Commemorating the times, Zola Keller and Dazzles Boutique will present a classic-styled fashion show and a D.J. will celebrate the eras’ timeless tunes. Participating Las Olas retailers will host complimentary fittings (Underwraps) and free foot massages (by Planet Massage) as well as offer exclusive promotions, discounts and hours for all attendees. Yappy Hour – October 27, 2008; 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.-Pet menus, treats, and massages…oh, my! Taking place Monday, October 27th between 6-9p.m. is Las Olas Boulevard’s first-ever Yappy Hour, a series of pet-friendly “happy hours” happening at various retailers and restaurants along Las Olas. Don’t miss the creator of “’s Top Dog Model” content and celebrity author, Jo Jo Harder, who will be on-hand signing copies of her new book, Diva Dogs at the Riverside Hotel. Also included in the night’s festivities is a dog/owner “Look Alike Contest” and mobile pet adoption services courtesy of the Humane Society of Broward County. Christmas on Las Olas 2008 - December 1, 2008 This 40 + year annual event takes place just after Thanksgiving. It is a lasting family tradition featuring choirs, schools, churches and non-profits from all over South Florida and celebrates Christmas the way we remembered it as children; Snow Mountain - featuring real snow - and Santa Claus are the enduring favorites with children. In 2008, we hope to find new and exciting ways to create cross promotions, sponsorships and buzz for one of the most talked about and fun holiday street closures in South Florida.
